In preparation for the upcoming Retreat, the Guild will be placing a member’s only supplies order to Munro Crafts. We’re doing this in a hurry to insure we get the items in time for the Retreat.

Orders need to be to Barb by noon on Wednesday, January 7.

Here are the details for ordering:

• The order is open to current members and if we reach the $250 minimum order, almost all prices are discounted 50%.
• Visit http://www.munrocrafts.com and choose the items you want to buy.
• Send your order by email to Barb.  The easiest way to do this is to add your items to the online shopping cart, then copy the text and paste it into an email.
• Barb will email with your subtotal after any discounts.
• Upon delivery, Barb will calculate shipping costs and email you with your final total. Shipping is divvied up based on your percentage of purchase or weight. You buy heavier stuff, you pay a larger share of shipping.
• Payment is due upon delivery – cash or checks made out to the Guild. PayPal will be accepted, but you need to adjust your total cover the fees deducted by Paypal (otherwise the Guild loses money on the transaction).

January Meeting Report

All I can say is WOW! Everyone that attended this month’s meeting really took the Group Challenge to heart and learned a lot of new things this month. Take a look at the image gallery below, to see all that we made (click on images to view full size).

Bettye made a chrysanthemum cane and used it to make this heart.

Terri used Randee Ketzel’s new book as inspiration for these faux opals.

Hui used an online tutorial to make this 3-D Rose cane.

When Nancy’s attempt at a ‘marbled paper’ pattern sheet didn’t go as planned, she repurposed the sheet to make these brightly colored veneers.

Barb used a tutorial found on Pinterest to make this funky cane.

Cindy worked very hard on these batik beads based on ArtyBecca’s tutorial. One more layer of ink to go, before the big reveal.
