Reminder – Annual Clay Day & Chili Lunch is Saturday, February 2
5th Annual Clay Day and Chili Lunch
February’s meeting will be our Annual Clay Day and Chili Lunch. We’ll be meeting on Saturday, February 2 at the Lafayette Arts & Crafts Center. We will get underway around 10 AM and need to be packed up and out by 4 PM.
Barb will make a pot of chili (turkey) for our lunch and have AM coffee available. Please sign up to bring a coffee cake, green salad, rolls or cornbread, iced tea/soda and dessert. See the list below for what’s been claimed. Current RSVPs have the attendance at between 10-14!
Let Barb know if you are attending (and what you are bringing) by Friday, February 1 so we can plan accordingly. Click here to RSVP.
The Guild will provide bowls, plates, utensils, etc.
Clay Day Projects
Plan on bringing whatever personal projects you have to work on. We will have a sanding/buffing demonstration, if you want to participate please bring the following:
- Wet/Dry Sandpaper in the following grits (200, 400, 600, 800, 1000). You can get these at an auto part store.
- Dishpan or small plastic shoebox or bowl
- Rotary tool with muslin or microfleece buffing wheel
We’ll have the ‘big’ ovens available for curing.
