NE Branch Library – Setup Date

Tallahassee Guild member Leslie Cohen has made arrangements for us to display polymer work in the case at the Northeast Library in April. This is a great outreach and marketing opportunity for our group!

We will be meeting at the library on Tuesday, April 8 at 1 PM to set up our display.

What to Bring

  • 2-4 items for display. Items can be mixed media, but polymer should be the focus.
  • Display stands or trays for your items. Anything that will display your items to their best advantage. This can be traditional jewelry stands, a low tray filled with rice or beans, an attractive piece of fabric, etc.  If you need traditional displays, contact Barbara or Lizette to borrow one.
  • A label for each item that includes your name, the title of the piece if applicable, and the materials. Ideally, these should be on cardstock (4″x6″) and when folded in half the size of a business card. Example:

If you cannot attend the day of setup, make arrangements to drop off your items by contacting Barbara immediately.

April Class at Lafayette Arts & Crafts Center

bunnyclasssample
Ellen’s Class Samples

Our Spring class is scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at 1 – 330 PM.

We need 2-3 volunteers to lead the class, which is will be bunny pendants and pastel egg-shaped beads for accent. Barbara will provide the sample and the tutorial information, but can’t help with the class due to a prior commitment.

These classes help cover our monthly rental at Lafayette as well and help bring new members to our group. You don’t need to be a polymer clay master to teach the classes. An enthusiasm for the medium, willingness to donate your time, and a moderate amount of prep work are all that’s needed. Please contact Barbara to sign up and help out.
