Clay-Bor Day Retreat News

Were you excited to see the first reveal for our Retreat Demos? Well, time for another announcement!

Cindy has come up with a great design challenge that is also our delayed gratification swap event.

You’re Mica Me Crazy

The challenge is to create inchies* for the swap that use the following materials (all or in combination):

  • Translucent Clay
  • One Metallic Clay
  • One Solid Color

You can add non-clay embellishments to the inchies such as foils, pigments, beads, etc.

All inchies should be bagged or tagged with your name and city/state/country.

We’d like this to be a one-to-one swap, so be prepared to make 25-40 inchies if you want to swap with everyone. If you only want to swap with a limited number, that’s OK and we’ll pick random inchies to return to you.

*What are inchies? Take a look here.

About that Delayed Gratification Thing

Since we won’t be meeting in person for awhile, we will manage the swap as follows:

  • Local members will drop off or mail their inchies package to Barbara
  • Participating attendees from outside the area will mail their inchies to Barb. Please include a return address label with your package.
  • Swap bags will be made and delivered at our first in-person guild meeting.
  • Out of area attendees will have their swap bags mailed to them.
  • If anyone wants to donate towards covering postage fees, we wouldn’t say no. <grin>
