Volunteers Needed for Holiday Class this Weekend
Volunteer Opportunity: Ornament Play at the Hope Community
Here’s the scoop on the children’s ornament class taking place this weekend. Lizette is coordinating but needs volunteers to help out with the class. It is a lot of fun, will definitely put you in a holiday spirit, and the effort is appreciated (in extreme!) by the staff and residents of the Hope Community.
There are expected to be between 30-50 children who want to make ornaments. We need at least 6-8 volunteers on the day of the program.
If you can’t participate on Saturday, you can help with prepping clay before hand or making ornament canes.
Please email Lizette Kelly to volunteer at lizettekfl@comcast.net or call her at 850-294-5252 by December 12 if you are able to help.

WHAT: Ornament class with children from the Hope Community Family Homeless Shelter
WHEN: Saturday, December 15th from 12:30 – 4:00 PM

We will be making Christmas trees. We’ll cut out the trees and then provide all colors of clay for ornament making or some slices of ornament canes if anyone is so inclined.
For the very young children, we’ll work on snowflakes (texture and cut outs).
There will be snacks and coloring activities after they finish their ornament. We’ll bake the ornaments on site and leave them with Sarah Jean. The children will use these items to decorate the trees in each dorm.
