Zoom info will be sent on Friday, to all registered attendees.

Tools

  • Your normal tools and equipment
  • An Extruder if you have one
  • A medium size (5mm) double ended knitting needle, I use a size 6 Boye. Optional

Supplies

  • Two Skinner blend sheets in colors that coordinate.
  • 4 oz Black clay (already conditioned and sheeted)
  • A few favorite canes
  • Skinner blend plugs; please have several available as they are needed for the extrusions. I’m going to demo several extrusions and if they want to make many of them the plugs and the Black are important.

  • For frames: Frame and Mat board – optional

Stay Clay Play Retreat Teacher Update

Due to a conflict, Suzanne Ivester had to step back from the Retreat. Instead, Lynn Yuhr will be teaching at the event.

The event takes place March 6-10, 2024 in Keystone Heights, Florida (about 2.5 hour drive from Tallahassee). Kira Slye from Createalong.com is hosting the event.

For more information on the event and to pay a deposit to reserve your spot, visit https://polymerclayclassroom.com/b/march24clayretreat.

  • Jan Montarsi is teaching his Minimal Waste Kaleidoscope Cane, and after you create your cane you will learn how to make jewelry items with slices.
  • Lynn Yuhr will transport you into Meditative Magic, Embrace your primitive artistic nature and create a painted leaf out of polymer clay. These pendants are an aboriginal-inspired design that plays with simple yet effective graphics and an abstracted leaf shape. Color blends and bold shapes create an unmistakably whimsical leaf.
  • Kira McCoy will show you how to cover wood and create an armature to use mixed-media along with your polymer clay and create a gorgeous bird sculpted on a decorative perch.
