April Meeting Change
Instead of our usual Sunday meeting at Michaels Arts & Crafts, we’re taking our show in the road to the Havana Bead, Jewelry & Art Extravaganza. Meet at Barbara’s house at noon on Sunday, April 3. We’ll carpool to the show in Havana and eat lunch while we are there.
Admission to the show is $4 for adults. Most of the show is under tents and there will be a wide variety of beads, supplies, and finished jewelry for sale. If you have a tax number, remember to bring copies to leave with the vendors.
Knott House Event Invitation
This past week the Guild received an invitation from the Museum of Florida History to attend a special event at the Knott House Museum in Tallahassee. The event, A Look Within: The Decorative Arts at the Knott House Museum, will take place on Monday, April 11 from 5:30-730 PM. Professor Karen Myers, FSU Department of Interior Design, will enlighten the audience about stylistic periods of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Educator Janessa McGowens will interpret how the objects at the Knott House fit into the history of interior design. Refreshments will follow the presentation and the event is free.
