Are You Challenged Yet?
July is well underway and I hope many of you are working on our Summer 2025 Challenge using black, white, and one other color of your choice. I’ve been busy making my color recipes and mixing the colors for this challenge. The hard part is deciding which colors to use (’cause I can’t really use ALL of them) and then deciding if I want to make a cane or a veneer.
One clever thing I did (in my opinion) is when I started divvying up the clay for the recipes, I laid a piece of deli wrap on top of the recipe card so I could keep the clay bits with their corresponding recipes. In retrospect, a clear page cover would work even better. I also assigned codes to each recipe and imprinted them on the samples, making them easier to match with the recipe I used.
