Last Minute Bits and Bobs
UPDATED Location
We will be in Studio A at the Lemoyne Art Education Center. This is the big room off the kitchen that we have used for the event in the past. You can park in the drive and load in through the sliding glass doors in the kitchen, the move your car across the street (see Parking, below).
Setup Help Needed
Although the Retreat officially kicks off at 9 AM, there is quite a bit of setup that needs to be done before we can start having fun.
If you can, please arrive around 8:30 AM to help arrange the worktables, food area, and get the Elixir of Consciousness (coffee) brewing.
UPDATED Demos
As of right now, we have the following demos planned for the Retreat:
Saturday
Ellen – gelli plate printing on polymer clay (here’s a link if you’d like to make your own plate or you can purchase them online or in person from several retailers (amazon, utrecht, etc.).
Barbara – Skinner Blend Showcase (aligned, offset, down & dirty, micro blend)
Lee Ann – Traveling buffing system
Sunday
Starr – Torch firing Precious Metal Clay (PMC). See how to use PMC and how some types can be torch fired (no kiln needed!).
Cindy – corkscrew, twist stick, and spiral beads.
Parking
You can park in the Lemoyne lot next to the center or use the off-street spaces along Call Street.
We can park in the law office lot across the street. Do not park in the hair salon’s lot.
Meals
Barb will make a pot of chili for our lunch on Saturday and we have a signup for other items such as coffee cake, green salad, rolls or cornbread, iced tea/soda, desserts and snacks.
