March Meeting, Library Display, and Alice Stroppel Class in Palmetto
Guild Display Opportunity at NE Branch Library
Tallahassee Guild member Leslie Cohen has made arrangements for us to display polymer work in the case at the Northeast Library in April. This is a great outreach and marketing opportunity for our group! If you are interested in displaying some of your polymer and mixed-media work at the Library. Please contact Barbara immediately. She will forward details as soon as they are available.
March Meeting
Note the new start time – noon! We can arrive a little bit before noon, but please be aware that there is a class taking place in the main room until 1145 AM. Your consideration of the students and teacher’s time is appreciated.
End time is unchanged – we need to be packed up and out by 4 PM.
When Saturday, March 1, Noon until 4 PM (sharp!)
Where Lafayette Arts & Craft Center, 501 Ingleside Avenue in Lafayette Park (midtown)
Project/Demo None scheduled at this time. Please bring your own project and finished items for show & tell.
Please bring Library items to be checked in so others may take advantage of our Library.
April Class at Lafayette Arts & Crafts Center
Our Spring class is scheduled for Saturday, April 12.
We need 2-3 volunteers to lead the class, which is will be a sculpted bunny face pendant with a couple of pastel egg-shaped beads for accent. Barbara will provide the sample and the tutorial information, but can’t help with the class due to a prior commitment.
These classes help cover our monthly rental at Lafayette as well and help bring new members to our group. You don’t need to be a polymer clay master to teach the classes. An enthusiasm for the medium, willingness to donate your time, and a moderate amount of prep work are all that’s needed. Please contact Barbara to sign up and help out.
