Get Colorful on Saturday

Our meeting is taking place on Saturday, November 1. On site setup starts at 9:30 AM, Zoom Opens at 1030, and Demo is at 11.

Barb will demo at least four different ways to use up scrap clay (colors plus black and white). Anyone else have some creative ways to use up the leftover bits of Skinner blends, canes, and conditioned sheets? Here’s your chance to show it off!

Supplies

  • Harmonious colors of scrap clay – bits of conditioned sheets, leftover canes, etc. Metallics are OK
  • Black and white clay
  • Plastic canvas (Barb will have some to share)
  • Mold release such as water in a spray bottle, corn starch, armor-all
  • Stiff sharp blades
  • Basic clay supplies such as pasta machine, sponge for texturing, liquid clay or clay adhesive, cutters, etc.
  • Clay extruder and discs (circles in a couple sizes, square) plus whatever you use to push or power your extruder

Location Change

Please note location change – we are now meeting at Making Awesome not just on Zoom. There are few things to know:

  • Closed toed shoes must be worn
  • Pay attention to posted ‘no parking’ areas. If needed, unload your gear and move your car.
  • Someone will be outside to let you in with the card key and direct you to the meeting area.
  • Coffee service will be available – bring your cup.
  • Bring lunch in a small cooler – the on site refrigerator is quite small.
  • Oven off at 2:30 and must be out by 3 PM
  • Other Making Awesome members will be on site at the same time.
