March Guild Meeting Reminder
Our next meeting is Saturday, March 1 on Zoom. Patricia will host a program about making translucent bowls, supplies list below.
Zoom will open around 10 AM with the program starting around 1030 AM. Folks are welcome to stay online after the program to work, chat, etc.
THE DELIGHT OF A TRANSLUCENT BOWL
It’s been fun to experiment with the fantastic array of Cernit translucent colors and create a variety of bowls in different shapes and sizes. This mini-workshop will employ your basic cane-making skills with heavy use of translucent clay. The focus will be use of the Cernit brand and how it distinguishes from other types of clay to produce an opaque and colorful result.

What you need:
- Slicer and roller
- Glass or ceramic containers to use as molds
- A couple of packets of Cernit or other translucent clay
- Cernit translucent colors or other clay colors
- Several canes from your inventory that can be covered with translucent clay
