March Meeting & Local Classes of Interest

A Project to Resin-ate

Lisa Pavelka Pendant with Magic Glos

Our March 2012 meeting will take place on Sunday, March 4 at 1 PM. We’ll meet in the classroom at Michaels Arts & Crafts Store.

Our focus this meeting will be using UV resin with clay. We’ll construct a simple clay bezel that can be filled with ephemera, microbeads, glitter, miniature clay sculptures or canes. We’ll also look at techniques to use resin as a top coat on clay.

What to bring: basic clay kit, small piece 220 grit wet/dry sandpaper, small cookie cutter to use as a shape-form, Lisa Pavelka Magic-Glos (available at Michaels and Hobby Lobby), items to fill your bezel pendant.

What we will provide: oven for curing, UV light for curing clay.

Dues

If you’ve not already sent in your $15 annual dues, please bring them to the March meeting. Dues help support our guild by underwriting the cost of guest teachers, supplying our growing library, and buying supplies for group projects. Guild members receive discounts on classes hosted by the guild, participation in discounted supplies orders, and access to the library.
