Each week Ellen will teach a different polymer clay technique, and give students time to explore the technique in depth.

  • Mokume Gane, which is based on an ancient Japanese metal working technique. The effects are just beautiful.
  • Playing with foils. This will speak to anyone’s inner bling.
  • Mica powders with polymer. This will include making scarabs and wait, there’s more.
  • Shadow images with metallic clay. This one is just sorta magic. Google chatoyant.
  • A matchbox amulet. You can google polymer clay amulet box to see what that is.

Ellen says she’s always open to student influence; nothing is writ in stone.
