Ronna Weltman did a youtube on her pod pendants and I’m going to demo my take on them. If you go to youtube and type in “Ronna Sarvas Weltman Makes a Polymer Clay Pod Necklace” you’ll get the video that was my jumping off point. I made clay slump molds on light bulbs so’s the pods have a textured interior. I’ll show how to make the molds out of scrap clay and how to use them.
You’ll need scrap clay, circle cutters, and, if you’ve got ’em, dead light bulbs. If you have texture tools you like, bring them along. I’ll bring extra light bulbs and I’ll have circle cutters so if you don’t have them and are willing to play well with others, we’re set. I’ll have ArmorAll to use as a release agent. Then, of course, you’ll need some clay for making the pods.
Yard Sale
We’ll set up a table where you can sell/trade art & craft supplies, finished work, book, magazines, etc. Attendees will be responsible for all transactions and inventory. If there are art supplies you do not want to take home, we’ll provide a box and all donations of art supplies will be taken to The Sharing Tree.
