August Meeting
Our next meeting is scheduled for Sunday, August 1 at 1 PM at the Southwood Welcome Home Center (just east of Four Oaks Blvd. on Merchant’s Row in Southwood Town Center. It’s the large storefront just west of Subway).
This month we’ll learn from an expert, Lindly Haunani, via her new 2-DVD set, Innovations: Confident Color. We’ll watch DVD #1 and discuss color as it relates to polymer clay. You may also bring clay and your kit and work along with the DVD. Suggested Premo! clay colors for the first few projects on the DVD are as follows:
- 6 ounces cadmium yellow + a bit extra for tinting
- 4 ounces fuschia + a bit extra for tinting
- 4 ounces ultramarine blue + a bit extra for tinting
- 3-6 ounces white
- 3-6 ounces black
- 1 ounce each Fluorescent Pink and Fluorescent Yellow (if you don’t have these fluorescent colors, Barbara will bring some to share)
Note: polymer clay blocks are on sale at Michaels this week 4/$5
Dues
Please remember to bring your dues if you’ve not paid already – $15 per year. Benefits include participating in discounted supply purchases, ability to check out books from our (newly formed) library, discounts on classes and events that we host locally.
