What Tallahassee Polymer Clay Guild Monthly Gathering

When Saturday, December 6, Noon until 4 PM (sharp!)

Note: you can arrive as early as 1145 AM

Where Lafayette Arts & Craft Center, 501 Ingleside Avenue in Lafayette Park (midtown)

Bring your own projects to work on, but we also need to make canes and prep clay for the December 13 Ornaments class. Things like:

  • Multi-color Stripes for ribbon candy
  • ‘Starlite’ mint cane
  • Simple Snowflake Canes (great use for your extruder)
  • Red & white striped ropes (candy canes and trim)

2015 ‘Chili’ Clay Retreat

Our event this year is being spearheaded by Ellen Rumsey Bellenot and Cindy Suhrweir. THANK YOU ELLEN & CINDY!!

Please contact them if you would like to demo during the event or volunteer in another capacity.

January 17 & 18, 2015

Time

Saturday 9 AM – 6 PM and Sunday 9 AM – 4 PM (followed by all hands on deck site cleanup)

Location

Lemoyne Art Education Center

Cost

  • $35 which includes Annual Dues for 2015
  • $25 for out of town participants who belong to other guilds

Meals

Barb will make a pot of chili for our lunch on Saturday and we have a signup for other items such as  coffee cake, green salad, rolls or cornbread, iced tea/soda, desserts and snacks.

Coffee service will be compliments of the Guild.

December 13: Holiday Ornaments

Our annual holiday class is always very popular. We will need 6+ volunteers. Students will make 4 ornaments using provided clay, shape cutters, and cane slices.

Please volunteer to assist – – our donation of time and effort enables us to keep meeting at the Center!

Schedule

Noon: Move tables, condition basic clay colors, cut out snowman hats, etc.

1:00 – 3:30 PM: Time for class – help kids and family members make 4 ornaments and string them for hanging with ribbon. We will insist on the following:

Make 1-2 ornaments immediately and while they are curing, make 2 more. Last items in to bake by 3:00 PM.
