It’s a Paradox….cane!
Lynne Sole is going to share her version of the Paradox Cane tutorial at our meeting on March 5. We’ll distribute the PDF with the Zoom info on Friday. It contains some great links to online videos of the technique and we’ll go through it all together.
Materials
- Polymer clay suitable for cane work, about 1oz each of black, white and another color
- Fimo, Kato, or other clay that’s a bit ‘stiffer’
- Knitting needle or rod (about 10 mm in diameter) to create “J” curve in triangle cane
- A measurement grid in inches is very useful, but a ruler can also be used
- Usual tools such as pasta machine (I used Altas 150 Wellness), blade, tile to work on, oven, etc
Next Meeting is March 5: Please RSVP for In-Person
Our next meeting is Saturday, March 5 at LeMoyne Art Education Center and via Zoom. LeMoyne will be open around 9:30 AM and the Zoom should open around 10 AM.
In-person (fully vaxed) attendees need to RSVP by Monday, February 28 to ensure we can set up tables with appropriate safe spacing. Positivity rate for Leon County is dropping, but still poses a risk to compromised individuals.
As of today, February 25, only one RSVP has been received. Unless we have at least 4 people, the in-person meeting will be canceled.
