January Polymer Meeting – Put Yer Name on It! and Retreat Announcement

Project/Demo Name badges! In preparation for our February mini-Retreat, we’ll work on name badges for ourselves, so our guests can get to know us better.
Bring your basic clay kit including clay, an image transfer if desired, mixed-media supplies and either a magnetic nametag set or a pinback. We’ll have some letter stamps available, too. Here are some examples of polymer nametags.
Please remember to bring your annual dues, too. See the information below.
Please bring Library items to be checked in so others may take advantage of our Library.
Mini-Retreat Set for February 1 & 2, 2014
February’s meeting will be our Annual Clay Day and Chili Lunch – now bigger and better! We’ll be meeting on Saturday, February 1 and Sunday February 2 at LeMoyne Art Education Center. Cost is $20 per person to cover facility rental, incidentals, and lunch on Sunday. We will probably limit to 20 attendees. Regional Guild members and friends are encouraged to attend!
We will get underway around 10 AM each day. Saturday we’ll end around dinnertime, Sunday around 4 or 5 PM so there’s time for cleanup.
Meals
Barb will make a pot of chili (turkey) for our lunch on Saturday and we’ll have a signup for other items such as coffee cake, green salad, rolls or cornbread, iced tea/soda, desserts and snacks.
We’ll go out as a group for dinner on Saturday (separate checks).
Sunday lunch we’ll bring in deli sandwiches.
Projects
Bring whatever you want to work on for projects and we will schedule 2-3 demos each day. If you are interested in demonstrating a technique or project, let us know.
We will have ovens available for curing.

Dues!
Dues are $20 every 6 months OR $30 annually. Dues are collected at the first meeting of the year in January and at the first meeting in July. If you cannot attend either meeting, please mail your check (made out to Tallahassee Polymer Clay Guild) to:

All coming to the celebrate our Polymer Clay Tropical Bash! Along with our talented instructors we have our demo instructors Nancy Welch and others are ready to teach you tips and tricks that will help with your polymer clay projects. All levels are welcome to
come and learn about polymer clay. Quilters, Scrapbookers and Artist of all types can enhance their work with unique polymer clay pieces. We have a limit of 50 participants. We are past the halfway point. Once we reach 50, registration will be closed. We will have
a waiting list but don’t wait till the last minute.
