Our annual Labor Day retreat is two weeks away and registration is ongoing through 11:59 PM on Wednesday, 30 August.

We will have three guest artist demos and a Magical Mystery Tour Home Edition challenge. 

The 2023 guest artists are as follows. Click class name to download a class supplies list.

Demos will be recorded and available to registered event attendees after the event ends.

TALLAHASSEE CLAYBOR WEEKEND 2023 MAGICAL MYSTERY CHALLENGE

This challenge is open to all attendees, and we hope everyone will participate! Patty, our Magical Mystery Maven, has come up with a great challenge for us and we will vote on the submitted entries. Prizes may be involved.

GOAL – Choose one of these objects to adorn or create. You have the option to combine two or more on the list.

You may start work on your entry immediately.

  • Bowl
  • Cardboard box
  • Picture Frame
  • Mirror
  • Switchplate
  • Outlet cover
  • Doorknob
  • Plate

Clay – must use

  • 2 hues of blue
  • 1 pearl
  • 3 hues of green 
  • 1 gold or silver
  • 1 purple
  • 1 hue of your choice

Clay – optional use

  • white
  • black
  • translucent

Objects or images to incorporate – minimum of two, maximum of 3

  • bling
  • chain or wire
  • animal paw imprint
  • fruit or flower
  • personal symbol of happiness or optimism
If possible, please send a picture of your finished object to Barb by Saturday, September 2. She will use it to compile an image for voting.
